Cancellation Policy

Template document. Have this reviewed by a qualified professional before publishing.

Template document requiring agency review. Nothing here is legal advice, and the agency should have a qualified professional review it before it is relied upon.

Fees

Consultation and planning fees pay for professional time and are non-refundable once work has begun.

Deposits

Deposits, including group trip deposits, are non-refundable unless the supplier's own terms state otherwise.

Deposits hold a reservation only once the supplier confirms it in writing.

Supplier penalties

Resorts, cruise lines, airlines and tour operators set their own cancellation schedules. Penalties increase as the departure date approaches and can reach one hundred percent of the trip cost.

The exact terms for your booking are provided in writing before you pay a deposit.

Changes and name changes

Date changes, room changes and traveller name changes may be permitted subject to supplier rules and fees. Airline tickets are the most restrictive.

Send exact legal names as they appear on travel documents as early as possible to avoid change costs.

Travel protection

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against cancellation, interruption, delay and medical costs abroad. It is not mandatory unless a supplier or this policy requires it.

Coverage, exclusions and deadlines are defined by the insurer's plan documents.

Refunds

Any refund due is processed only after the supplier releases the funds, and is returned to the original payment method.

Refund timing is controlled by the supplier and the payment provider.
